I am now a single mom to TWO!

So crazy!! I'm now the mother of 2 beautiful girls- my daughter was born on Dec 23 at 3:28am! She is just perfect and her older sister (who turned 9 on Jan 1) is so in love with her!

I am trying to get the hang of having TWO kids- still seems so surreal at times!

The father is not yet involved. He still wants a paternity test, but when I talked to the people at the state, they said it can take 6 months to a year for the state to order a test. So, it looks like we will be doing one out of pocket, and it's not cheap!

Oh well!

I had a really rough pregnancy and I wasn't around much- but I am going to try to be around more now that we are adjusting and getting into the swing of things!

Our walgreens has them on the shelf...I don't know how admissible they are for anything legal but if all he wants is a test that says "she's yours" that might work...it would be a LOT cheaper.

First, Congratulations

As far as the paternity test goes, what state are you in? I was in MI, and once I filed for CS, they were very quick about getting a paternity test (within a month) and the results came back about a week or two later. Regardless of how long that will take, start the CS process right away. Most of the time, he will be required to back pay to the date you filed (I know it varies by location, but I think that's a pretty general rule). Plus, it will get the ball rolling and they may get a paternity test quicker than they are saying if it's tied up in another court process.

The adjustment can be hard at times, but I know now that I cannot imagine life without two!

It can be hard getting used to having two, but now there is no way I can imagine life with just one! and two little girls are SO fun... just you wait a year or so - they'll be loving on each other and it's SO adorable!
