I decided years ago that i wanted to be a single mother by choice. Well, after long bouts of searching, I found a sperm donor and did my first round of artifical insemination last Friday and Saturday. Though I don't know if I am pregnant yet, I am starting to get worried as to how to tell my parents and other relatives that I chose this route to have a baby.
My family knows that I have wanted a baby for a long time, but have no idea that I decided to be a single mother by choice. I am worried that they will erupt at me and not want to speak to me. My mom thinks I can't take care of a baby because I am disabled due to a very low level spinal cord injury, despite the fact that I live on my own and have taken care of my neice since she was 9 months old.
How can I tell my parents if I do find out that I am pregnant?
