Hey Girls! Thought I'd check in and let everyone know I'm here! LOL And I've read through the discussion board!
If there's anyone around still . . . . . I was just wondering ....... Is there anyone out there who likes the movies BETTER than the books?
Personally, I'm a MUCH BIGGER fan of the books! They hit on things the movies can't get into and they tell all the feelings you really need to know before you watch the movies, because a movie can't always express what the written word can.
Now don't get me wrong . . . . I'm not a hater on the movies - I LOVE all the movies! Have them all on DVD and watch them constantly! I just personally prefer the books and feel like I wouldn't like the movies as much if I HADN'T read all the books.
Thoughts?

Absolutly, totally agree with you Christina! I love the movies, basically for the eye candy.. Im not ashamed to admit it.. though I will say I was totally team Jacob before he was hot...
But the books tell you so much more.. and I've watched the movies with people who havent read the books and theres alot of feelings and things they dont get from the movie, that I've had to explain to them. And I agree, I dont think the movies would be quite as great to me if I hadnt read the book first.
I personally didnt like Twilight, it just didnt show me what I read in the first book. As the movies went on it got better. New Moon was better coinsiding with the book and Eclispe was as well. But Twlight left alot of stuff out I think and even reading the book I HATED the movie. Could be I loved New Moon and Eclispe cuz Jacob was init more.. lol but I'm not gonna admit that. I love Jacob Black as a character, not as Taylor Launter in the movie...though.. I must say... actually I have no words for how I feel...
Back on the subject...Im a big believer that the book is always better than the movie, always.

I like the books better too. I was VERY disappointed in Twilight. I was okay with New Moon... but I LOVED Eclipse. (Really? Am I the only Jasper fan?!? Or should I say Jackson fan....)

LOL - I think everyone who read the book first doesn't really care for the movie. But I did watch the movie first and I think that's why I liked it so much! I still love it! even after I've read the book. But I do feel like the movie left a lot out. And DH always has a lot of questions for me when we watch the movies together. Like the other night, we watched Eclipse again and he asked questions through the whole movie! Do get me wrong ... I LOVE that he asks questions! And I really love that I know the answers! But it's like, the first couple times we see the movie, he's so into it, he just WATCHES. Then after a few views, he starts noticing things and asking [I]Why? [I] I think that shows there IS a lot missing from the movies (as GOOD as they are) and you have to read the books to understand it.
BTW - DH says Eclipse is his favorite so far 
Me? I don't know that I can say  Twilight was great, because it's where it all began. But Eclipse is so great!

I love the books more. I read the books first though. Twilight and New Moon were okay, I thought Eclipse was awesome. I'm hoping they do Breaking Dawn right and both parts come out even better than Eclipse.
BTW - I read that Eclipse was being released on Dec 4th, seems about a month longer than it should have been. Because of Christmas?? I was kind of annoyed.

First, I'm a little surprised that they are aging her so much.
However, Mackenzie Foy is a beautiful little girl. And I LOVE Maggie Grace!
I'll be keeping an eye out for news. Shooting is going to begin soon!
