Hmmm I think it was The storm of swords, the third book in the series The song of Ice and Fire and it was about 1200 pages. The best book ever!

While it may not come at the time we desire, the faithful will know that every tear today will eventually be returned a hundredfold with tears of rejoicing and gratitude..... These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

I just found out it was The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. It's 1312 pages. Awesome book! Didn't even know it was that long.
