I'm afraid I was that kid in school... the one who never did their homework. So I don't know that I'll ever sit down and do the essay questions but I will throw out a few questions of my own.

It's touched on in The Hunger Games how the arena changes every year... IF you were in a position to compete, which would be your ideal arena and which would be ur worst?

My worst, easily would be any involving water- I can't swim beyond paddeling in a pool.

I think my best would be the mountains. I can climb (WAY to weak to free climb but maybe I'll get some gear!) and I'm comfortable with heights.

LOL Not a problem!

Like I mentioned in the beginning of the looong post with all the questions, answer what you like or not. It was just some things to think about and jumpstart conversation.

I will probably be one of the weaker links and one that all the tributes will go after since I have no athletic abilities whatsoever!

The arena in the second book is AMAZING... just saying.. so anyway..

I would so run off somewhere and hide in any arena, no matter what it looked like. It wouldn't matter.. . I would probably die of thrist becuase I would never leave wherever I was hiding. I have no skills.. I couldn't hunt because I'd cry if I killed something.. Im way to softhearted, even it it meant feeding myself. (however if I had to feed my children, that's a differnt story) There's just no way in any arena I could possiably be smart enough to make it past the first day.. I'd probably trip and fall coming off of the platform and hit a rock killing myself..

In the real world I dont think I could kill another person, but to save my child and myself?? Not to save myself pain, or out of anger but in a case where you KNOW it's you or the other person I'd like to think I could. Just like with Katniss though- it would be easier to say that with the big mean people... but Rue? I don't know. I think Katniss felt she had to get out to take care of her family. So by saving her own life, which meant killing the other people she was saving Prim and her mother.

As far as hunting food... you bet ur ***** I could to avoid starvation. I have no "know how" but if I were from the book I'd like to think I'd have learned some snares or something.

As far as the Arena in Catching Fire... AWESOME! I didn't want to drop a spoiler but I agree that it is incredible.

something with a forest would be best for me, I think. I wouldn't do too well in a place that was too open like a desert or something like that... I grew up in the forests around here so I'd be fine there I'm sure!

I was born and raised in the city. I have no survival skills whatsoever unless you count knowing my way around the subways!
