I've only read The Lord of the Rings and Fahrenheit 451. The second one I had to read for school and would have never picked it up myself.
I don't understand why YA Sci-Fi/Fantasy books were left out. I can't really say I agree or disagree with the list, though, since I haven't read most of the books on it and one wasn't for pleasure. Fahrenheit 451 was certainly an interesting read but the only things I took from it were that Bradbury managed to call a lot of things we have now (even though there are obviously some differences) like the shells for your ears so you can listen to things, then I realized that J.K. Rowling must have taken the guy Granger and used his name for Hermione Granger's last name since Hermione has the whole photographic memory of books deal going on.
