DO you read this to your kids or do they read them?

My boys are finally starting to like them iv been wanting them to read this series forever cause they look good

I found a book about teaching with the magic tree house series. gonna read that soon.

my boys are in a school system BUT i like having extra lessons on the side and through the summer. The last summer is a more go with the flow type of teaching, this summer im going to do the same but with some sneaky extras in it. a lot of science, history, mixed with the books of what we are doing that week. and way more projects too

How old are your kids? You can definitely make science and history pretty fun.

They fun books! When the kids get a little older the Time Warp Trio is a similar concept but for kids in 3rd and 4th grade age.

twins are 8 and are in second grade.

That's the perfect age for getting into the Magic Tree House Books (or Jack and Annie books as the kids like to call them).

Ty loved them! He started reading them at the end of 1st grade. We first listened to them as audiobooks and Ty was intrigued. So it was a great motivator to get him to work on his reading.

It was our goal to have him reading The Magic Treehouse series by the end of first. And he did it. He read them at the end of first and throughout second grade. He learned so much from the books. But he only read the books on his own. I did not use the non fiction books with him.

There are Fact Tracker, non fiction books, that go along with the first 35 books. If I can get my hands on them - I have the first one on Dinosaurs - I plan on using them with Luc soon.

I will be reading the books to Luc as he's not as advanced a reader as Ty was/is.
