What's your favourite genre of book to read?

Is there any particular genre that just isn't for you? Have you ever given it a try?

I love light chick fiction, mystery, historical fiction...there's nothing I won't try. So far, I was not such a fan of Dr. Zhivago - I didn't even finish it.

I mostly read non-fiction these days but do read fiction at times and when I do it's usually chick lit which I enjoy for chill time.

I do like a good horror story as well - I loved The Green Mile, that's probably my favourite.

I went through a historical fiction phase and will probably go back to that at some point! I loved a set of books I once had about King Arthur but I can't remember what they were or who by now.

I really don't like thrillers or whodunnits/crime.

I'm not a big chick lit fan but I'll read it. I am stuck in my young adult books and I enjoy fantasy/dystopian. Mysteries aren't bad. I think I like young adult so much because I started to read chapter books pretty young and stopped as a teenager, so I never got into those books as a teenager.
