Are you bilingual?

Have you ever read or written anything in a language other than your mother tongue?

What about movies, have you ever watched one in another language - was it with subtitles or without?

Not bilingual here!

I read french stuff when I was younger but I definitely could not now.

I can't concentrate on movies with subtitles so I tend to avoid them...I'm too busy reading what they are saying that I miss the body language etc.

I took a lot of Spanish in school, but I remember very little of it, and I don't consider myself bilingual by any stretch of the word!

I'm not bilingual.

I did live in Thailand for a couple of years, and while I could not read, write, or speak Thai fluently, I did learn to comprehend and speak pretty well. I learned to read just a bit, and would try to practice every chance I got--reading street signs, etc. But I never read a whole book. I did watch Thai movies--sometimes with subtitles and sometimes not.
