Who's read it? What did you think?

I really loved it. I read a review of it a couple of years ago and finally found it on the car boot sale last week, and utterly devoured it.

It's of the same vein, if you like, as the Dave Pelzer books but not as "directly" cruel to the child involved, and if you found those a bit too harrowing, as I did (even though I couldn't put them down), this might be more up your street.

Beautifully and innotatively written as well. Thoroughly recommend it for those who like gritty, realist work.

*Please don't do any plot spoilers as I would not want to spoil this book for anyone yet to read.*

A good friend recommended this book to me some time ago. She likes books like this a lot. I read it and didn't like it. It was too creepy for me.

It was very engaging. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting (staying up till 3am!) I was pregnant when I read it so it did creep me out a bit, but it was still very very good. I would recommend it to anyone.
