ugh! a couple of more weeks? I was ready a few weeks ago and finally the boys last day was may 30th. BUT they go back July 30th That is just not enough time for them. I mean really? its still the middle of summer and super hot in august, geesh. Maybe its just me but I want more time with them.
how long do you all get for summer break?
watching the Stanley cup finals and trying to stay awake. I thought I might lay down to watch the game but I think I would fall asleep real fast. lol. might try to listen to audio book - im way behind. ( I like to say im behind so that I have an excellent excuse to listen/read. )
My third grader has been doing an unit on economics for the past few months. They filled out job applications and interviewed for classroom jobs. They earn a paycheck every week and have to pay their bills and budget. He had to apply for a business license to open a booth at today's school flea market He's a very currency-based kid and we do a token system at home (he's ADHD with oppositional behaviors so this was a suggestion by his therapist to help with behavior issues) so he's is on top of this unit He loves it Last night we were organizing his inventory so he could set up his booth this morning (He is selling things like pencils and markers and stickers, cool erasers, grippies, etc) I bought everything at the Dollar Tree but man, it was still expensive LOL One of the moms was saying her kid was making key fobs and she ended up making most of them (they need enough product to sell to 200 kids). So I'm ok with buying stuff at the dollar store because at least I didn't have to make 200 crafts
lol 200 is a lot to make! Hope Things turn out well with this project
