As embarrassed as you may be about not having the "I'm so glad to be your mommy" you have to talk to your doctor. it takes longer to get over PPD w/o help and that's something you can't wait on. I had severe PPD and had to rely on my SO because I could not be trusted to care for my son when he was small. I also suggest taking walks every day.

I think you might have PREGNANCY depression, not post partum. Pregnancy is going to whack your system and hormones into all kinds of craziness. I am currently 12wks pregnant (due 11/14, just shortly after yoU) and have severe depression right now. It is not just after the birth of a baby. Depression will also cause irritibility. It is hard to feel anything when you're depressed and not feeling that happy mommy feeling doesn't sound so out of the ordinary. Pregnancy makes me the *****iest person on the planet in general, so that doesn't sound too off the wall for pregnancy either. Keep in mind, you JUST had a baby and now are pregnant again - two biggies with your system out of whack.

You are not a bad mommy but you should get help, either extra help from your DH so you can take better care of yourself or from a doctor or therapist to work through it until either a) it can be treated or b) your hormones settle down and even out. It sucks being sad, but you're not alone. I am not treating with anything except more rest and better food and I'm feeling better all ready. Mine was mixed with anxiety issues too.

you certainly aren't a bad Mommy - you recognise that what you're feeling isn't 'normal' - and that to me, says that you're a good Mommy. I would definately talk to your GP/doctor about how you are feeling, and see what they can offer, in the way of help. Also check out PPD support groups in your area.. it often helps to talk to others who are feeling the same way you do, or who have felt it in the past..

Sweetie I was the exact same way. I love my DD but I didn't have that OMG I LOVE being a Mommy feeling. It took me a while to gain that. I would definatly go to a DR and talk to him. It will help you a lot.
