My husband had a hypo-manic episode @ the end of June. He got diagnosed as bipolar II, and OCD instead of depression and general anxiety. He's now back on medication and we've trying to put our lives back together. We are both seeing a psy. every 3 weeks, a therapist every 2 weeks and are back on medication. We feel like we're at the doctors ALL the time. On top of all that he is teaching art for 30 mins. every two weeks and attending school part-time this is all to make him feel productive while he's out of work. His Psy. took him out for at least a year. He just wasn't ready to go back and was worrying to much about going back instead of getting better.
Now, my parents keep telling my family that he's making it up and all this BS about him. They have no idea why I'm with DH. They've never even tried to understand us or our child. I'm worried when DS gets diagnosed they will treat him the same way. I care about them but I just don't know what to say. I wish they could understand how much stress we are under doing daily things to get ourselves back on track.
