I've decided to study for a certificate in medical transcription so I can work from home. I actually signed up for this in like March, but then I found out I was pregnant and then we lost it, so I haven't been studying very much. This is a study online at your own pace course, but I have really just started and only have a year from day of enrollment to complete it (which i just found out) so I have started to really hit the books. Its pretty heavy and I'm not sure I will ever learn all of this. I worry that I won't be able to find a job afterwards even though I've gone through all of this and paid for the course. I'm not going to think about that though, just getting through the course. Having a really hard time juggling all of this though. How do you find time to study????

I study every spare moment I have.
From the minute the last kid is in bed (9pm) until I go to bed (10-11pm).
While I'm cooking dinner, while I'm waiting for kids to get out of school, waiting at the dr's office, long rides in the van (while dh drives ). You'll be amazed at the spare minutes you'll find

Good luck!

Flash cards are your friend--carry them everywhere. And the time it takes you to make them is actually studying too.

Those are very good ideas, I will make the flash cards and I will keep them in the kitchen for making dinner and cleaning the kitchen. Seems like I spend a ton of time in the kitchen, so I might as well use that time.

Thanks!!!

I hear you. I have a heck of a time studying some days. I usually set a goal - like I am going to finish this many pages- or I am going to study for 30 minutes and set a timer. I don't know. It helps me. Good luck to you!
