My name is Alissa, I’m 20 years old and currently studying Psychology and minoring in dance. I am also expecting my first child in December 2011. I am hoping to graduate in the spring of 2012 with my BA and then apply to a PsyD program somewhere. DF will also be starting university in the Fall of 2012 hopefully. I am currently a food server and full time student so this pregnancy will be a challenge but I am looking forward to learning from you ladies how you manage school and raising your LOs. I hope it’s okay for me to join before the baby actually arrives.... I’ll probably mostly lurk in this forum until I really see what it’s like going to school and being a mom at the same time.
Welcome, feel free to post anyway, your going to school and that's all that matters I'm Annie, married to JJ, and mommy to Riley (2). I'm going to school to get my RN and eventually i'll get my BS in Nursing. I've been completing my gen. eds. up through this semester while on the waiting list to get into the nursing program. The first 2 semesters i was a full time student, the 1st semester was entirely online which helped since my son was 5months old when i started. the last 2 semesters were 3/4 time and all my classes were at the college. Its tough but doable. Online classes are a blessing if you can take any and have the dedication to do them. Good Luck!
Baby Girl expected 2.12.13!

Thanks ladies! I will taking lots of online classes this summer but have a full semester of full time classes in the fall. In the spring, I am hoping to only take 12 hours and finish my degree! Glad to know there are other mommies making it between school and raising a family!
