I have to say that my biggest mistake was taking full-time graduate classes during my last semester. I had just started a new, much more time intensive job and had a ton of training to do for it. To take this job, we had moved across the state, so had the stress of packing and unpacking as well. I was also having a really bad arthritis flare-up at the time. I managed to pass with solid B's, but I know that I would have had A's in both classes had I chosen to take one more semester to finish. I have my degree and that is the most important thing; however, if I eventually go to get a PhD (which is a long-term goal), those two B's could really affect my chances at getting any type of stipend or teaching assistant position.
I guess my biggest mistake so far was dropping on of my classes this semester. It is one that is required for graduation. I had tried taking it online (it was a computer class) and I got lost and wasn't able to get it figured out. I planned on taking it again next semester. Once I went in to do my schedule, I quickly realized that it was not going to fit in either of my two remaining semesters, and now I have to take classes this summer to get it in.
Thankfully it was an easy enough fix, but I was really looking forward to taking the summer off.
In regards to my overall schooling my biggest mistake was not deciding early on what I wanted to do. I changed my major so many times, wasted money on courses that I don't end up needing, taking breaks, etc. I've been going to school on and off for the past 10 years. I can't wait to just finish already. I feel like kicking my own butt for those mistakes.
