I have never been a great at studying - I figure that I either know it or not. My biggest top would be to get a good nights rest so that your mind is fresh when taking the test (also a large cup of coffee helps, but that just might be me feeding my addiction)

I love the coffee suggestion! lol
I don't do much studying either. I have found that the more I try to study, the more confused I get. I just read the chapter or work problems until I know I really got it and then I move on. I have found that if I go back through a test checking over my answers and change anything, I end up being wrong more often than I am right, so I guess my best advice is not to second guess yourself.

Doing the homework. The best way for me to get any high grades is to do homework. And to try to do it within the week of the exam because I end up forgetting everything. Practice, practice, practice! (I'm an accounting major so this worked for those types of courses and mathematical courses. For my English classes I just make sure to read what's assigned. That usually works just fine.)

Oh! And I always pop gum into my mouth 5 minutes before an exam. I heard that chewing on something gets the blood-flow to your brain pumping or SOMETHING along those lines... It actually works for me so why not?
