There aren't any local jobs unless you have a degree, so I needed something there. Also, I will be the first college graduate in my family (other than some distant cousins). I wanted to do it to make my dad proud.
My son will be in school full time in the fall, and my daughter will be in a couple years (Kinder will start the same year I finish my AA). So I want to have at least my AA degree by the time she's in school. I had always planned to either go to school or work when they were both in school full time
There are a few. First, I wanted a Master's in order to move into higher positions at work. Second, I love learning and would go to school forever if it were financially feasible. Like many of you, I am the first in my family to get a college degree. They were very excited when I got my Master's and will be even more proud if I end up getting a PhD.
