For my online class I have now, no. But its timed and the syllabus says that there are certian time frames in the day that we can take it (from home) which kind of sucks and means I will probalby have to take it when the kids are up :/
None of mine were, but I only had two classes that had tests (the rest were always long, in depth papers). My quantitative analysis for business decision making had two tests. They were not multiple choice, just selected questions that we had to work out and submit with all steps included. A pain because it takes nearly twice as long to type out all the equations and signs, even with a pretty decent statistical software package. The other class with a test was my ethics class. It had two short multiple choice tests that we could take at any point during the week that they were due, but only had an hour to complete. However, our final paper counted for more of the grade than the tests did.
I've had classes that went both ways. My current class doesn't require a proctor to take the test, but if I want to see the correct answer once the test is graded, I have to have a proctor to be able to review it. Kind of a pain, but whatever. lol
