What kind of books do you read when you are reading for enjoyment? Do any of your instructors have a reading list that you are required to read one or more books from? What books have you read that you would recommend to others? What are you looking forward to reading?
I love to read, and hate that I don't have more time to do it. One of the classes I am taking now requires a critical book review (you can do a second for extra credit). And thankfully, the instructor and I seem to have very similar taste. Well, my tastes are all over the place, but her list has a really good selection on it. Doench's list. There are over 300 books on that list and I wouldn't mind reading them all! lol If you want to save the list and read some of them, I recommend saving the PDF version to your computer. She retires at the end of the month and that link will be disappearing.
This one is much shorter, but contains some classics. Neas' list. I will definitely be reading my way through this entire list. I've read many of them before, but I will probably reread them.
Add your suggestions here and I will make a sticky for reading suggestions.
I love reading too! I will read nearly anything, but especially enjoy non-fiction. I love food history, cultural anthropology, and biographies. I also like the occasional romance or suspense thriller for when I don't want to pay alot of attention (Debbie Maccomber, Julie Garwood, and Elizabeth Lowell are some of my favorites).
