I am not working or going to school yet. Im going July 18th! I need to get a job.. i wanna work mornings so I can go to school in the afternoon.. I am really worried I wont be able to do it.. I dont know anything about college.. do you go every day? how many classes a day? the ladie said she would give me 6 hours for the first summer.. what does all this mean how many hours are you at school a week and day??
I want to get throught with school ASAP.. Im going for sonagraphs (ultra-sounds) its 2 years, or LESS!! this is my plan.. go to school, be outta school by the time Im 21.. Im about to be 19 this month.. save 1000 a month.. thats 12000 a year for my investments.. I want to buy a bunch of repo rent houses.. or buy a buch of land and build an apartment complets.. and I wanna make at least 50,000 a year from just my investments bt the time Im 40 years old... and ultra-sound tech makes about 60,000 a year here so.. I wanna be maken around 110000 by the time Im 40
I think its great you've got a plan like that but just remember to be flexible!!
Classes will depend on your schedule, so I wouldn't get a job until after you know your class schedule unless they're happy to roster around them. Also don't forget that classes is just the contact time, you will need to allow extra time at home for assignments and extra study. When I was on campus I was only spending 12 hrs a week in class, but then I was supposed to be doing an extra 32 hrs a week independent study. Now that I'm only doing online classes I just study whenever I can manage (which isn't as often as I should!)
I think starcie made a great point, I'm assuming this is a traditional university so, with that said if you take 6 hrs of classes in the summer your going to be going about 4 hrs everyday. Summer classes are shorter so therefore your in class longer. In the regular semesters you would normally go 2-3 days a week for about an hr or hr and a half. I agree if you want to be done with school in 3 yrs, you're going to have to put school first and work will just have to be whenever you're not studying or in class. I applaud you for your dedication and hope you excel. Keep us updated on what you are doing.
thanks, I called to see when I could take my GED, the next test day is JULY 17 and 18th.. July 18th is when Im supposed to start school, but I called them and they said they can register me anyways.. So Im going to do all of that tommorow! Im soo excited.. they also have some online classes.. Im going to try to see if they have any that I can take.. I think that would be good
