I have a graco myride for my 1 year old (yes, she's rfing ) but I lost one of the harness covers that Velcro around the harness belt. She vomited on it so I removed them, washed them and now one is missing. I went to the website to order another set, and you can only buy the whole set for $40!!!

So I called to ask, because all I need are the two tiny covers, not the whole thing and she said "sorry it's sold in a set".

So my question is can I buy the ones at babies-r-us or ones off of etsy and use them? Or does that affect the safety of the car seat?

We only use them because she hates the straps being so tight but when they have the padding she is fine but now that it's off she pulls at it and screams so I need them back on ASAP.

Thanks!

Want mine? We have never used them and don't plan to. My son hates them and they get on my nerves too. They are grey, if that matters at all. We have the grey-and-blue MyRide from about a year ago (man. date 05-10). Shoot me a pm if you want them and I can mail them out to you. I actually just pulled them out of the closet in the soon-to-be-babies room (we are trying to get organized...a constant failed attempt).

Oh, I do know that it can void the warranty of the seat if you use "outside" items. It is always supposed to be the covers that come with the seat.

I wouldn't be upset with Graco about it, even if we think they should sell them outside of the whole cover set.

I'm sure you can buy them from someone over on car-seat.org, or take PP up on her offer. As far as aftermarket products go, I'd rather see you buy a MR65 set from someone here or on c-s.o than to use them.

All I had to do was ask my 4 yr old where it was and guess what?! She had it...in her room..in a drawer..knew exactly where it was.

Sorry for jumping on graco (I still think its nuts they dont sell them individual), and thanks for the offer.

Glad you found it!

Just as an FYI - I lost one of the shoulder pads from our TrueFit and called Compass/First Years and they just sent me out a set for free. I thought that was pretty awesome!
