LOL Britax Bubble! You would be surprised how many times I hear "my kids are safe, I bought a Britax" I laugh inside while I tell them how untrue that fact is. Not that they are unsafe, they are just as safe as the kids who are in the $40 seat from walmart. I also chuckle because 95% of the time people who think this arent even using the seat correctly. And I think to myself "actually my kids are safer in their properly used graco seats than your fancy britax seat being used the way your using it" BUT I try to be polite and remember these people just dont know any better

Lol. I have run into quite a few people in the "Britax" bubble. One said her child was safe while his chest clip was close to the crotch latch and the kid could easily get out of the seat the straps were so loose. Not to mention he was FF at a year but not yet 20lbs. She felt "bad" because "all his friends" could turn around at a year and it wasn't "fair" that he had to stay RF because he was only 18lbs. I seriously didn't know whether to laugh or vomit.

We are loaning our Britax to a friend (she knows I am a carseat nut and would never give her a faulty seat). We used it for two months and HATED it. He is now in a MyRide and I am so happy with it. But obviously he would safer in his Britax

The Britax Bubble!!!!

Seriously, some people are so ignorant. They think their child is safe just sitting in a Britax seat without buckling them in, BECAUSE IT'S A BRITAX!

At least you know the truth!

Speaking of the Britax Bubble...

i was at a BBQ a few weeks ago and I was strapping 3-yo DS into his Radian when one of the guys DH came out of nowhere to tell me that I couldn't keep DS like that, it was dangerous and a cop friend of his told him that once the feet were touching they had to go forward facing bla bla bla. Poor DH was strapping my 18mo into her MA and witnesses this go down and I could see the look of panic in his eyes...

They had their 14mo forward facing in a Boulevard (cause it's the most expensive one, it must be safe right?) and I calmly and rationally explained to him, and then his wife about why my DS sits this way. They agreed to turn their 14mo back rear facing after all was said and done. I hope they do and weren't just blowing smoke up my you-know-what.

I also hope they saw my "My Toddler Rides Rear-Facing" bumper sticker as we drove away hehehehe

My sister-in-law tells me this ALL the time!!! When I bought Teddy's Scenera she freaked out and said i needed to get him a Britax. I know for a fact that her son was FF before a year and before 20 lbs because it was "easier". I doubt her seats are even installed correctly. If i had lots of money to spend on a fancy seat, i wouldn't buy a britax anyway. I'd probably get one of the new symphonys.

I was polite and said that my kids were just as safe in their nauti and TF and that I was content with my choices and that as long as the kids were harnessed properly and their seats installed right, then they were fine and she replied back about how the britax has the SIP and something else.. i think she deleted the comment, not sure.. anyways, i had just replied back that i see ALOT of other seats always recommended way before a britax and that i was confident with my choice, thx... she kind of back pedaled a little and said that they never said other seats werent safe, just that britax is one of the safest.. yet their entire fb picture comments are filled with them saying and recommended products left and right from britax. No one lists any other seats. She also said that she had nauti's for her 2 kids but then took them back after reading about the britax frontier.. yeah.. sorry, i just can't dop 300$ on a seat and if i did, i'd much prefer a radian.

But yeah im pretty sure they don't think any seat OTHER than britax is the safest best seat out there. Just pisses me off.. im not really confrontational and i had a house to unpack so i just logged off. I know enough about carseats to recommend a few, give advice on RFing vs FFing etc, but not that great in a ganged up debate!
