Our newborn is riding the a Graco SnugRide and every time we go somewhere, her head falls forward. I don't remember my daughter ever doing this (same carseat). We have different vehicles now, but the seat is installed properly and the little color wheel on the side says the incline is correct. What can I do about her head falling forward? It looks so uncomfortable.

TIA

You can try a rolled up towel or foam pool noodle under the base (in the seat bight), like this:

to give it more recline. Newborns should be at 45 degrees, which is what it's supposed to be when your level indicator is in the right spot. But a newborn's head flopping forward is a major safety issue because they are not strong enough to lift their head back up. It can cut off their airway.

Thank you so much. We have only gone two places because we had to and I was not comfortable at all with how she was when I went to get her out of the back. My DH suggested the rolled up towel, but I was unsure if that was ok or not. Thank again! I will fix both the bases tomorrow.
