A friend of mine's daughter will be one 2/20. She posted recently on FB that she wants to get the baby a new car seat for her birthday. She's currently in a Snugride35. Several of her friends are suggesting the Nauti. I have one for my 4 year old. Great seat, but not for a 1 year old.

Anyway, I'd like to give her a link for some car seat info. Not just ERF, but how to choose a good seat, you know? Anyway, can you point me in a good direction? I've found a couple, but nothing thorough. Thanks!

Have you checked out our Extended Rear Facing thread? It has a list of recommended car seats (though it may not be current with a couple new seats that have come out, but it still has great recommendations on it). It will also give info on why it's important to continue to rear face.
