My friend just got her daughter's convertible seat in the mail and they tried to install it yesterday and she told me they were having some issues. Her car does not have LATCH and I guess it's old enough that the seat belts do not have the lock feature (pull it all out and it winds itself back in and locks--whatever that is called) so she can not get a tight enough installation in her car. What is recommended to do in a situation like that? I know with the bucket seat it was easy enough to get the seat belt tight because the Chicco had the seatbelt lock on the base but I know that the convertible seat installation is a lot different. I hope this makes sense! Thank you in advance.
ETA: After watching the video it looks like she might just need to use the seatbelt locking plate?
