Please point me to some resources! I know that sleeping in a backless booster is a big no-no. We are leaving for a trip and driving through night. My daughter is usually in a backless booster and she doesn't typically fall asleep. I have no intentions of moving her to a high back booster full time, but for the trip I want her in the high back since she will be in the car sleeping for 8 hours. I'm worried (a) about her comfort and (b) since she's asleep, the seat belt would not restrain her properly. DH said I am over reacting and DD pitched a fit. I know I'm not over reacting. I just don't have anything to back it up. Normal driving in the backless doesn't bother me because I know she's sitting upright with her back on the seat, and the seat belt is lined up properly. If she sleeps, she tends to lean towards the middle or the side and the seat belt digs into her neck or otherwise isn't lined up properly to restrain her.
What can I show DH so he will quit saying I'm over reacting and suck it up and put the Frontier in the booster mode.
