...if a seat was a "girls" pattern and you had a boy?

I only ask because I sold my Britax for the price I wanted and I could either put out an extra $9 for a pink and tan myRide or I can put out $40 for a green and grey one. So...how much do I care that the colors are girl-oriented?

I am thinking I don't really care in the effort of saving $31. But is that weird? Lol.

(fwiw: my boys wear pink and flowered diapers and play with dolls..I guess this is no different!)

I like picking out patterns, it's my favorite thing to do. LOL I actually have a neutral grey seat (Kate's backup) that I'll be getting a pink cover for for the baby. Not because I have to, but because it's fun. I say it's all up to you - you're the one who sees it all the time. If it doesn't bother you, then who cares, save the money!

That is totally your decision, and you shouldn't let what other people would do factor into your decision. If you want to save money, get the cheaper seat. It isn't a big deal for a boy to ride in a seat that has pink on it. What matters the most is that he is safe!

I couldn't do it...I'd shell out for the "boy" pattern, especially since he'll likely have it for a few years. That's just me, though, and my personal preference. I would never think badly of someone who put a boy in a girl seat

DH wasn't cool with it either. Lol. But we did get the green and grey for a better price after some digging around.

I figure that buying a pink seat would just secure that I would never have a girl!

But I still wouldn't care if my boys had one. Thanks for the responses!
