But the only classes I can find listed in my state are 7 hours away! I'd like to take a course in the New Orleans area, but I don't think any are available. None that I can find, anyway. Does anyone know if there's a way I can request a course be offered in my area or anything like that?

Whoah, I just found this: Find a Coalition

and it appears that one of my high school teachers is the coordinator in my state!
