Hi my son weighs 10lbs 10oz as of a few days ago, and hess been looking really squashed in his car seat. The insert is supposed to be removed at 11 pounds. I tried him in it today without the insert and he looked much more comfortable and well placed, but the belt latch is riding way up high say his waist band. Is this okay? Our do I need to leave the insert in here is a picture of him without it.

It is fine for you to remove it

His chest clip could go a smidge higher.

Yeah that's how most babies look when the insert first comes out. It's fine though He's a cutie!
