I have my heart set on a Britax Pavilion for my son who is currently in a snugride - he is 4.5 months and 16 pounds and I am done with the carrier...way too heavy, I prefer the bigger seat for him anyway. Question is, does anyone know if it will fit in a 4 door 2008 ford focus?

I don't know the new names... is that the one that is like the Britax Boulevard? If so, we had that seat in a Honda Civic, and it was fine. While he was rear facing, the passenger seat of the car was kind of tight, but I don't have a passenger much anyway. Once it was FF it was better, but it did work in or small car. I think the Focus is similar in size from what I can tell.

It should. If your infant seat fits, chances are that the rear facing convertible will fit. You'll be able to install it more upright than an infant carrier once your infant is able to lift his head on his own. In the mean time, if you think your infant carrier is too heavy to carry around, you can leave it installed on the base in your car, and just put your little one in and out of it like you would a regular rear facing car seat.
