Do you like all the up-to-the-minute music, or do you prefer the music that was trendy when you were younger?

I have a wide range of what I like, most doesn't include artists that are really all that current though some of my favs.....Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Avett Brothers, Sublime and of course classics like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, CCR. I actually love all different kinds of music though and will listen to just about anything, minus country I can't quite get into that groove LOL oh and I still love Nirvana and Pearl Jam so that dates me just slightly LOL

We listen to everything. A little country, a little rock, hip hop, 80s, Enya, metal, tribal, I could go on. My DH's father is very musical so he was introduced to a large variety and then that was passed to me and now our kids. We go through phases of what we listen to.

I asked the question because I kind of got stuck in the 90s with indie/Britpop/alternative rock!!

Sometimes if one of my favourite bands releases something new I like newer music too, and of course the occasional pop song grabs my fancy.
