i was home with dh ( he was in the military at the time) it was supposed to be the first day of his 3 days off....we watched the news together called his mom (his dad was in the pentagon) she actually found out about the pentagon being hit and all this by us.....but no one was able to reach him.....we didnt know that he was okay til way later that night....and karl ended up having to go into work
I was at work.....it was awful. DHs very good friend worked in NYC about a block away from the WTC so we were worried about him, he was ok but witnessed the whole thing, as he was watching the first tower burn from his office window he saw the second plane hit. Many people in our area were effected but I did not know anyone first hand that was lost that day. I really want to go to the memorial at Ground Zero and hope to within the next year.
