What do you normally do as a baby gift for a shower?

Do you go with something small?

Do you split the cost with someone and go with something bigger?

I typically do bathing necessities (i.e. tub, lotion, baby wash), diapers and wipes.

It depends who it's for.

If it's family, my siblings & I'll go in on a larger gift (stroller, car seat, bassinet, etc).
If I'm going with a sibling, we'll go in on it together, such as a nice diaper bag with a couple of things in it.
If I'm going alone, usually I get a cute outfit, and a couple of swaddling blankets.

Now that I sell Avon and they have a baby line (Tiny Tillia) I order something from there. Before Tiny Tillia, I would just get a baby book, a blanket, an outfit, something like that...
