Anyone else suffering from this "end of pregnancy insomnia?"

I am so frustrated lately with not being able to sleep! I tossed and turned from 11 til 3 am. I finally got up and made some chamomile tea to see if it would help, but still didn't fall back asleep until about 4:30 and then was up at 7 am and laid here in bed until 8 when I heard DS1 get up. I remember having this towards the end with my first, but not DD. It's really starting to get to me....this whole past week was a ridiculous struggle to get any sleep!

I completely understand! I went to bed at 10:30...probably didn't fall asleep until 11:30. Woke up at 3:30 and was awake till at least 5:30, then had this stupid dream and woke up at 7:00 and then tossed and turned until about 8:00 when I decided to get up. I figured I got about 5 hours of sleep last night, and all of that was restless...

sigh...I guess it's preparing us to function on NO sleep in the upcoming weeks.

Yes and it's finally frusterated me. I was ok up until about last week. Now I am tossing and turning and peeing all night. Just when I get to sleep from all that, then I get some horrible acid reflux that backs up in my throat.. last few nights has been going back down the wrong pipe causing me to CHOKE, geez. I swear, this is the pits. I wake up feeling like I never slept at all. Then I have to get up for either work on wk days or the kids on wkds, I never get to sleep!!! I'm getting very frusterated, I know I won't sleep when the baby comes either so I really need to find some time now! I have very demanding kids who want MY attention all the time, I'm going to just have to tell them I really need a nap here and there for the next few weeks.

I just can't fall asleep because I'm in so much pain & my hips are NOT fun to lay on anymore. Ugh, the next month is going to drag for me!

This is EXACTLY what I'm doing! I could've written your post myself!

Here Here! I have really bad insomia. I fall asleep around 10 and can sleep pretty good until about 2 or 3 and then I toss and turn until about 5:30. Sometimes I'll get up and get a snack and that will help, once I finally get back to sleep. I can sleep pretty good for about an hour and then I just give up, get up and make some coffee.

I sometimes wake up and can't get back to sleep for a while, but it's rare. Unfortunately, I don't get much sleep for other reasons. DS is teething, the dogs are playing, my hip hurts, my leg hurts, my back hurts, lol. Then there's the fact that I want to sprawl and DH is in my way because our bed isn't the size of our bedroom like I want it to be! It's always something. =P

Im right there with ya! I toss and turn for hours and then I will finally fall asleep and the alarm is going off that I need to get up. UGH! I really am getting tired of this part (literally!! ). Add the fact that it is so painful to get in and out of bed and it makes for very long, miserable nights. Oh to be able to sleep again..........

I have lost some sleep......don't know if it is necessarily insomnia but can't stay asleep because of all the discomfort. Hurts no matter how you low, heartburn, leg cramps, peeing, etc. I swear I feel like I will sleep better once the baby is here even getting up every few hours to feed him!

I seem to be sleeping in 3-4 hour increments. Since I'm home now, my husband is encouraging me to sleep whenever I can. I don't have any children (yet!) so that makes it a lot easier for me. I don't know how everyone else is functioning!

I do have to say too that all the comments about tossing and turning are making me smile. I actually got stuck on my back due to ligament pain the other night. I felt like a turtle!
