hey girls.. so tonight i was having contractions about 3-5 minutes apart.. so my fiance and i decided to go into the hosp. to get me checked out.. well, after that, im SCARED to go into full on labor, because i forgot how painful these things are and how much the cervical checks hurt!!! i mean, im only 2 cm dilated, and i was almost in tears! my contractions are consistantly 3 minutes apart now, but not maknig my cervix change.. stupid cervix.. i had a leep procedure done 2 1/2 years ago so they made me stay an extra hr to make sure i wouldnt go into full fledged labor, but i didnt, so im home now, and in pain.. im so scared to actually go into labor now!! i only have minor contractions in the 30's and im so scared of what to expect now

That's the 2nd post mentioning the leep thing tonight...how odd that all the sudden it has started coming up. Hang in there, I hope it all gets better.

I hope that as you progress more, they become less painful (a girl can have hope right!!).

A leep is where they burn, freeze, and or scrape off bad cells from the cervix.

GL and hopefully this is it for you. I had a LEEP about 4 years ago or so and I didn't know it could affect things - hopefully not.

Oh girl, I dont wanna scare you, but my ctx this time around were sometimes up to 130-150 on the monitor.....BUT I did make it through al natural so it can be done, but yes, it does hurt lol

I'm so sorry...as your cervix dialates more, the cervix checks will hurt less.

I hope you progress more and don't have any more false alarms.
