sounds like it should be a song!!!

We are in Hawaii....but unfortunately, Hazel is pretty miserable She has a NASTY cold and can't breath through her nose. So, she's having a hard time taking her bottles. She's also teething...tooth #5 is in & #6 is partway through...! She's got a fever of 99.4 and I freaked out with her only drinking/eating 1oz in 5 hours and called her doctor. He said to monitor things & not take her in yet, but to keep pushing the fluids & give Advil. I've been using the bulb syringe and Little noses drops right before I feed her. It seems to allow her to have a few sips. Anyhow...the whole thing just makes me sad for her...my poor baby. She still smiles despite being miserable. Please pray she recovers quickly so she can go swimming again (her favorite thing!!!)

I hope she gets better quickly. I'm sorry you have to deal with a sick baby on vacation. We had that happen to us, it's not fun. Just keep suctioning.

I will be praying for her! Is she still peeing normally? You can always give her some pedialyte to make sure she doesn't get dehyrdated!

She is peeing (bit less than normal). Got the pedialyte just in case, but her pediatrician said push the forumla first because it's more nutricious. :-/

Poor Hazel! And, poor mommy and daddy!! I wonder if she is having issues with the difference in air quality/climate? Joey was in Hawaii during the summer for work and he got sick. The climate is so moist there. I hope she starts feeling better soon so you all can start having a good time!

BTW, we are narrowing down the plans for our Sacramento trip this month. It looks like we will be there the Wed before turkey day and leave either Sat or Sun after turkey day. Let me know if any of those days work for you!

Oh no...poor girl. A sick baby in general is awful, but while on a vacation in such a beautiful place is downright sucky! Try keeping her slightly elevated while sleeping to help with the breathing. And steam up the bathroom with a hot shower & stand in there with her for a bit. Glad she's still smiley depspite it. I hope she's back to normal soon & you guys can enjoy the res of your trip. Soooo envious!

So sorry!! I think I could have written your post myself! Hannah is now not wanting her bottles either. I called the doctor last night (she actually threw up after her cereal) and they said to keep an eye on her. As long as she is peeing and getting a few ounces in, it should be ok....will just have to run its course. The pedi also said to try the pedialyte if she wont take the formula. Unfortunately, Hannah doesnt want either one. I gave her 1 oz of pedialyte via a medicine dropper tonight.....I had to get something in her, was making me too nervous. She also is still peeing, but not nearly as much. We have an appt tomorrow (she is supposed to get her shots) but I will just have them check her out.

OOPS! Sorry for hijacking your post here....I guess all I really wanted to say was SORRY and I hope she feels better soon so you guys can enjoy some of that Hawaiian sun!!

Poor Hazel and Hannah! Susan, we all got sick when we went to Charleston, so maybe it is the change in climate. If it makes you feel better, Presley was better after 2 days, with just the stuffy runny nose, while DH and I felt like death warmed over for almost 2 weeks! They tend to have better immune systems than we do. : )

Awww thanks everyone... I don't think it's the climate change since she started coming down with it before we left.

Katie, I sure hope Hannah feels better soon!!!

Rachel, I think that timing will work. Have to check with DH & consult the work schedule. Let's chat when I get home
