I do not mind them. I just hate when the electricity goes out and all the phones and clocks are out in the middle of the night. It makes for hectic mornings.

I don't mind them during the day, but I am not a fan of them at night. Too many tornadoes then!

Growing up in ND, I loved them. I liked the noise and the lightening. For a long time I really missed them because we don't get them very often in WA. Recently though, I've realized that I don't like them as much. We live in a very wooded suburb and a thunderstorm here usually means lots of down trees, no power, and general inconvenience.
BTW, this is a well time thread. We just had a freak thunderstorm with torrential rain late last week. It rained so hard that the rain backed up on our low pitched roof (darn gutter clogging pine needles) and leaked in through a weak spot in our roof. Fortunately we have a 20 year warranty and the roof is only 2 years old. They came out, determined that it was the roof and not wind damage and fixed it no charge! Whew!
