Well I'm finally home! Where do I start? The cruise was okay. We had fun on the shore excursions we did....snorkeling on the reef, snorkeling with sting rays, swimming with dolphins, hanging out with parrots and spider monkeys climbing on us, hanging out at the beach, getting an hour massage on the beach for $25...The weather could have been better. It was a little cold, unusual weather for the carribean for this time of year. It was like high 60's low 70's. It rained one day off and on all day. The food on the ship all looked good, but nothing tasted very good. Entertainment kinda sucked. We will never do this cruise line again and we heard a lot of people say that. Anyways...the cruise left on Sunday the 23rd, on Monday morning we were exploring the ship when an overhead page on the entire ship asked us to come to guest services. First thing that went through our heads are OMG our kids! We thought something might have happened to them. Thankfully nothing happened to them. We got to guest services and they called back my MIL for us and then she told DH that his Grandma passed away. So we were sad for the rest of the cruise. Then we were mad because we couldn't fly back early it was over $1000, so we had to miss the funeral. DH was super close to his Grandma, and he was her favorite Grandkid. We're still having a hard time dealing with the fact that she's gone. We couldn't even visit her grave yesterday because there was a blizzard and they didn't plow the graveyard. So we still couldn't say our goodbyes. Then we read the obituary thing or whatever you call it that they hand out at the funeral. For the honorary casket bearers it listed DH brother; who isn't even considered part of this family anymore and hasn't been for years and is in jail; and DH isn't even listed there!! So that upset him and me even more. Seriously?? You're going to list that punk(insert other words here) and you don't even list DH??!! Everyone knows he was her favorite and they were really close. Anyways...enough rambling...We got stuck at my Dad's in the cities when we came back because of the blizzard. Today I have to do laundry and clean the house and get groceries, etc. My SIL and her youngest are coming to visit (they're from Alaska). I see I have a lot to catch up on the boards...and not enough time! So slowly I'll be trying to catch up, but I still may be MIA this week a little bit. I must get running now.
