I am going through with the divorce. I am just seriously unhappy and I cant stay unhappy to please him. to be a better mother I need to be happy. I have already contacted lawyers but this process is going to be lengthy and expensive. So I got him to agree on child custody and support and we are going to get it notorized. In the state of NC I have to be seperated for 1 year and a day before I can divorce. The seperation doesnt start until we are no longer living together. I would like to remain at hte current location however he isnt budging. So I am trying to apply to move to on post housing howver its a battle as he currently outranks me just by his time in grade. I am doing an Exception to policy and within 10 days I should know if I am authorized to move on post. I think financially it will be best. I am going to be moving my sister down here and pull the kids out of daycare until after the holidays until I can get finacially situated.
So I did even more research and I can file i nDelaware beings that is my home of residency.
It is a sticky process. I'm not exactly clear as how it works with NC versus Delaware. Here, even though we're both TN residents we have to file in MD because we've lived here more than a year (even though we're not MD residents). I would become an MD resident by default after a divorce seeing I'm not AD.
I hope this gives you some relief and you get the answers soon. Seeing you'd be able to get a housing allowance that should help with housing. Just make sure his child support is by allotment...

Definately. I talked to Delaware lawyers and I can take care of it through them. I just have to fill out a packet take a parenting class. and then file with family court. I came up with a very detailed child custody and child support agreement plan got legal to review it and I am presenting to him tonight. Then tomorrow we can go and get it notorized.
