Very sad today. We lost our 12 year old Chihuahua to cancer, and i can't stop crying. She was just diagnosed last week, and we were told she had about 6 weeks to live. She couldn't move this morning, she couldn't lift her head, she could barely open her eyes. This has all happened way too fast, and my 9 year old DD doesn't even know yet. I'm devastated, I miss her so much. I remember the day I bought her, she was so super tiny--maybe 2 lbs., 8 weeks old, and full of life. Tyler (my 5 year old DS) asked if he will ever get to see Abbey again, he had huge tears in his eyes. Preston keeps saying "Abbey is still at the doctors? Abbey still sick?" All 3 of my kids have been raised with her since the day they were born, she was part of our family. I posted a pic of her on FB, the cutest chihuahua i have ever seen. I will miss her so much.
I'm so sorry, Dena. We had to put down my basset hound not too long ago and it was so incredibly hard. The worst part was when Presley would ask where he was. Pets become such a big part of our families and it is tough to let them go. Hugs to you!
Thank you so much ladies. It was a really hard weekend, Tatum cried all day the first day, and she was a little better the second day. She was so heart broken. Tyler carries Abbey's picture around, and kisses it and talks to it and tells her how much he misses her. Preston says "I weally mish Abbey". So sad!!
