Is anyone else having problems keeping little fingers off the Christmas tree? We're also struggling with a serious case of selective listening here.

We keep talking about how the Christmas tree is fragile and it seems to be sinking in, but we haven't put the ornaments on yet and I'm thinking that they're going to provide some serious temptation.

We also planned to set up the Dicken's village this year for the first time since since Adrian was born, but I'm starting to have serious doubts about that too.

Hannah has been good with the tree so far, which is kind of amazing. We keep talking about how we don't touch the "decorations", so now she walks around pointing at everything and saying "No touching decorations". We did have a few ornaments chucked across the room when we started to decorate the tree and a certain little girl yelling "catch the ball!".....lol.

I have a lot of the wooden country style ornaments with a ribbon attached at the top and little Mr. Preston has pulled the ornaments and ripped the ribbon right off. When he is not messing with the tree Gavin goes under it and messes with the lights! When both boys are asleep the cats climb the tree until I'm sure it's going to fall...but it hasn't yet. Our tree is just going to look jacked up this year!!!

We just got the tree last night and we haven't put any ornaments or decorations on it yet. She likes to smell it, but that's it so far... we will see... I have a feeling she will be re-arranging the ornaments constantly...

We have soft ones for the bottom and non-breakable ones that are fine to play with. Last year we told her that she could pick a few to move as she wanted. It worked wonderfully, but with the selective listening this year, we will see...

he's moved a few but has kept off of it for the most part. Having the older ones in the living room helps of course as they keep him out of it. I think if I put presents under there though that would be too much for him to handle!

Preston had interest the first day, after that he hasn't been messing with it as much! He's too busy playing with Tatum and Tyler to stop and enjoy the ornaments!!

Siera broke a total of three of my mom's decorations this year. She wasn't playing with them though, she was just trying to put them on the tree. She cried after each one broke

We also had a bit of drama when the tree kinda-sorta toppled over and almost knocked my kid upside the head (good thing I caught it before it hit her and the floor). We were almost finished decorating it and had to start over. Apparently the tree was too tall for the stand - leave it up to my brother to buy an 8-ft tall tree when told to get one shorter than him

We put some ornaments up. He's fine if we're watching, but apparently I can't leave him alone in the room with the tree. Minimal damage and I think he learned his lesson.

We have our tree up with lights but no ornaments yet. Madi has been ok around it. Not completely great but not too bad either. We're hanging ornaments sometime tonight and we'll see how that goes. We also have a no touch rule at my house, hopefully Madi doesn't get in too much trouble with it.

My MIL lets Madi play with her breakable ornaments from her tree. It drives me crazy because I think Madi will have a hard time understanding different house different rules kind of thing.

Aiden has not really bothered ours. I didn't put any breakable ornaments where he can reach though. He is too busy sitting on the presents under the tree. Luckily he hasn't shown any interest in opening them.

We haven´t got our nicebreakable ornaments from our old house yet,so we have a cheapy plastic one with cheapy decorations, but tobe honest, I like it more!!

Ana doesnt touch it, she stops 1/2" short and says No touching the tree Nes!! Inés uses the tree to pull herself up on, I may have to rethinkthe whole "Tree on a table to make t look taller" thing! Its the wrapping paper that they both make bee line for!
