So,i am really hating our cluttered playroom lately...and i honestly just have no idea how to make it more organized/uncluttered.Most of Tatums toys are big,so i dont even think storage systems or toy boxes would help, but there has to be a better way to keep this stuff right?Sooooo....give me some inspiration and show me your playrooms! Please!
Heres his main playroom, which used to be the office but we recently moved his playroom upstairs and took over the office.

(please excuse the unshowered/undressed/nutella faced boy)

(One side of the room)

(behind one door)

(other side of room)

(behind the other door)
Heres the downstairs playroom, which isnt so cluttered, but he wont play down there by himself,so i hate to bring the stuff from upstiars down there since thats the stuff he mostly uses
(just cause hes cute)
In the back corner,he has his jumpy house/moon bounce thing and a little slide/swing set thing
Oh,and this stuff is in the living room, since it dosnt fir anywhere else

most of Zachary's toys are in his room. He doesn't really have a playroom because we just don't have the room. The basement is where Ben sleeps and he has all his legos and crap, and that is super cluttered, but it's his area and I refuse to organize it when he freaks out if I touch any of his stuff.
My suggestion, pack away the stuff he doesn't play with now and then rotate it every month or so. He'll find a new interest in stuff he doesn't play with.

Can I just say WOW! He has loads of toys and space! Anaiah does not have a play room or her own room so she has her toys in the living room and a bin in the bedroom. I think it's a great idea to pack up some toys and rotate them out. That way they are 'new' again when you rotate them back and there is less stuff to clutter up the room.

Honestly I can't imagine having that many toys out for one kid We hardly keep any toys out to play with any time (just wooden blocks and books) and then I have stuff like cars, duplo, trains, play tools, musical instruments, play food packed in plastic tubs that I keep on our porch. The kids are allowed to choose one tub to get out at a time. Then when they are done we pack it all up and put it back away. We have also done a monthly rotation system in the past which also worked well. I have noticed that by only having one thing out at a time my kids all focus and play so much longer/better with that item rather than hopping around to all different things. We've also tried to go for more classic/imaginative play toys which seem to hold their attention a lot longer than toys that only have one function.
We have a small house with little room for toys which is what drove me to find a better solution and purge a lot of toys and honestly our kids haven't missed them and we get a lot more use out of the few that we chose to keep. The guideline I made for myself when deciding how many toys & books to keep out was that if it took us longer then 15 min on average to clean up after playtime than they had too many toys out. I know not everyone will agree but personally I am finding that the more stuff you own the more stuff owns you and the kids and I enjoy play time and cleaning up time a lot better now with fewer toys.
Anyway just my

Ruth, you posted exactly what I was going to. We have all their toys in the ounge as we have a tiny house and the girls share a room. We take one box out at a time, then tidy it up and get the next one out.
I am having trouble with bikes/scooters etc. The only things that stay out are books, dolls prams (they love their babies!) and their little tabe and chairs.
Failing that, look on pinterest, they have hundreds of ideas for organising things.

i guess our main issue is we have no closet space or anywhere to store stuff to rotate it out,and we also have no garage or shed or anything like that to keep his tractor/bikes/cars outside but out of the snowy weather.Honestly though, tatum loves toys,he is actually a kid that will play with all his toys allll day.So i dont really want to get rid of stuff.I def need to have people STOP buying him stuff tough!

Siera's toys are in her room. With that being said, Siera doesn't have anywhere near as many toys as Tatum has. Those pictures make ME want to come over and play
We have a few toys in the living room with her play kitchen. I have a huge basket that holds her teddy bears (for some reason she has a LOT?). She has a big bin/dresser thingy that has her coloring books and crayons, toys and regular books. Then she has a basket full of books. I packed away a lot of the toys that she doesn't play with (put them in the box her car seat came in) and hid them in her closet. The other day I was looking for something in her closet and took out the box. She opened it and it was like Christmas all over again - she loved playing with the toys. I might just make it a monthly thing..
The bicycles/trucks/scooters are beginning to be a pain though. She has her push-me car in the basement, the scooter is in the corner of her room (half under the guest bed) and her tricycle is beginning to take up space in another corner.

I went through Presley's toys before Christmas and packed up a bunch of stuff for consignment that she doesn't play with. I also rotate toys out. That being said, we are still packed to the gills with dolls and doll related toys b/c P loves dolls and people keep giving doll toys to her. But like you said, she really does play with everything and she treats her babies as if they are real...all 22 of them! And each doll has its on bottle and blankie, plate, food, toy, etc, so I feel your pain. I just try to be sure that she cleans up immediately as she loses interest in playing and I have tried to create a place for everything. Her toys have actually become part of the decor in our bonus room...oh, who am I kidding? It's her bonus room, now. Ha!

The toys are mostly in just 2 rooms...the living room (where the TV and couches are) and then the "playroom" which used to be the dining room. The girls have lots of crap. It's quite similar to you, where there are so many big things, we don't have storage (no basement, no spare closets, our garage fits our 2 cars and that's pretty much it, etc...). We have a small Rubbermaid type storage unit outside, but it has our lawnmower, grill, yard tools, all that good stuff. We did fit a couple of her outdoor riding toys in there at least.
Here are some pics. The only way I stay sane is by cleaning up the toys several times a day. That's the only way to keep up with it when there are so many.

This is the living room.
Kenzie's toy corner. These are the main toys she plays with. The others are hiding behind the couch

I can't help but laugh at all that stuff. The two of you could run a small daycare with all that stuff! lol I must admit that it looks like fun though!
Haeden's toys are either in his room or in two baskets I have next to the wall in our dining room. He doesn't have a lot of big stuff. He is mostly into cars and trucks and even though it would be fun to get him a tool bench or something large like that, we don't because space is an issue in our house. We only have 1100 sq ft and I don't want it filled to the brim with toys because when his two older brothers are there I already start to feel claustraphobic!
Good luck!

We don't have a playroom either, and I desperately need to do something about Ryan and Bella's toys, between the two of them you can barely walk through their room.
