Well, yesterday was a HUGE day for us!

Last weekend we worked and worked to try to fit 2 infant seats (borrowed one and used DD's) plus her carseat across the back of my SUV...we even went and tried the Sunshine Radian for her and well, they fit, but it was sooooo tight and DD had NO elbow room what-so-ever...so we made the decision... mini van time... I NEVER thought I'd do that...
EXCITED now...yesterday afternoon... we picked up my brand new Honda Odyssey!!!

After we picked up the Odyssey, we went to meet with the new OB...I am so HAPPY...I just loved her...she was running 10 minutes early and wound up spending over and hour and 20 minutes with us...we decided to switch for sure!!!

Well...during the new OB visit, she said that my previous OB had changed my EDD... I was SURPRISED...actually shocked to hear this...she never EVER had mentioned this to me... she moved me back a week and hadn't bothered to tell me... I don't buy it...and am going to stick with the original EDD in my mind..(not changing my ticker either... you might remember they did this with Hazel and I ended up having my water break on my original EDD (the one I thought was correct...)

BUT...this begs to ask the question which now makes me CONFUSED... IF indeed my EDD is really a week behind like they are saying now...my gender scan was only at 14 weeks 5 days... DO YOU THINK THIS WAS TOO EARLY TO TELL??? BTW... I was told 100% Baby B is a girl at that scan...and 65% Baby A is a girl... two baby girls!!! My new OB yesterday said she can't make any predictions as it is not clear at all... I am just ruminating over all of this and keep googling it... it seems like perhaps it is too early to know...what do you mamas think???

This early it is hard to tell. I would have them recheck in a couple weeks. Congrats on the minivan and new OB.

Congrats on the new minivan...we adore our Odyssey

I know it's hard to wait, but I'm sure you'll know the gender for sure in a couple weeks.

They saw Inés was a girl at 14 weeks, but she said not to engrave the family silver until it was confirmed at 18 weeks. Apparently the earlier you do it, the more they tell you its a girl.

Have I missed a post about the genders? Did they say they are identical or not (scrub that, as they would have both been 100% girls?)

Congratulations on your maybe girls, and the minivan!

I'm so happy that you made the switch! Congrats on loving your new OB!

And congratulations on the new mini-van - you're officially a soccer mom

I think 14 wks is early to tell ... But they said that there was 100% one of them was a girl? Maybe my prediction was right and it was just too early... You'll find out soon enough. Heck, they told me at 20 wks that "they think" Siera was a girl. So who knows?

Congrats on the van and i'm glad that you like your new OB! We have a van and it makes life so much easier!

I wouldn't go crazy painting or shopping for clothes just yet. I bet you will know for sure at your next ultrasound. And congrats again on the fact that you are having twins! I just remember when you wanted so badly to have another one and now your time has come

CONGRATS on your van Susan, from what I hear people love them!
As far as their gender, we knew for sure Tyler and Preston were boys at 14 weeks, there was no doubt! BUT I would still wait and confirm baby A! That is so wonderful, I am soooo excited for you!!! Any names picked out yet??

Unless they are different genders, we won't know if they are identical vs fraternal until birth... if they are different genders then definitely fraternal. My twins are in separate amniotic sacs, but 50% of identicals are apparently in separate sacs... so who knows!!! It's a lot of fun to think about!!!

Nope! We have some ideas, but you might remember, Hazel didn't have a name until she was 3 days old! (we had it down to 2 different names and were going back and forth...) We have a list of both boy and girl names, but keep adding and deleting. If they are both girls...I have an idea for at least one of them...but I am not sure DH will like it. We will just have to meet them to decide...I may post the ideas in the Hideaway once we confirm genders...but we are pretty private about our ideas in general!

I'm with the others in that I wouldn't do any painting or gender specific shopping...but I wouldn't worry about it either.

I'm I'm happy that you love the new OB. Switching doctors always feels like a tough decision, but it sounds like it's worth it. You're going to spend a lot of time with yours in the coming months, so it's good that you love her. There's just something about the relationship you develop with a good OB.

And congrats on the new car. Kind of nice that you made the decision and just did it. Sounds great and you sound so happy!

Congratulations!
