What do you do for tv? Right now we use Verizon FIOS TV but I'm sick of paying money for only a few channels that we actually watch. We're thinking about cutting cable all together and switching over to Netflix or something like that. Anyone else make the switch yet? We're not huge movie people (well DH is but I'm not)

We don't have cable. If I want to watch a show I watch it on hulu or netflix. I really only watch Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, and the Daily Show.

Funny you should mention this. Our contract is up with Directv next month and we are getting rid of cable! We are going to do netflix and hulu plus and I am trying to decide if it's better to use our wii to stream both of those or to buy a roku box. Either way it saves a TON of money! ( The cost of cable per month will pay for Gavin's therapy copays and then some)

We have cable, primarily to feed my HGTV obsession and for John's ESPN stuffs.


We also do Netflix and Amazon. Amazon is good for big people movies and shows, Netflix for kid stuff mainly.

We have a dish.. but now I see that we have to upgrade to a digital receiver box because the whole city is required to do so..

I'm just so thankful that I can get some English channels here like HBO and TLC.
