About the only cleaning we get done on a regular basis is laundry and dishes. We do the dishes every night (either me or bf). We wash all her bottles by hand and only have enough for about 2 days worth of feedings so they HAVE to get cleaned (even if that means staying up 20 extra mins).
Laundry is easier to keep up with. I keep a dirty clothes basket in the tv room, and just go around and pick up discarded clothes anytime I see them. Then I will just run it down and throw a load in every 2-3 days (depending on how many spit ups we have had).
I am no help on any real cleaning. I have a hard time keeping up with the house.
No schedule. It's all about how motivated I feel that day. Some days it looks like a group of maids went through my house (that's how you can tell I'm stressed out...I clean like it's nobody's business), and other days I lay around in my pajamas and feel like doing absolutely jack squat. The kitchen gets cleaned every day though and the diswasher ran, but that's it.
usually, DH and i split the house. on a Sat (while i work), he does the kitchen, lounge, study area. on my day off (tues) i do the bedrooms and bathrooms. DH does dishes every night while i bath Kyla. and i do a load of laundry every day when i get home. ironing i do Tuesdays.
i also am currently addicted to flylady (thanks again Cathy), and it has helped me alot. my house seems to stay tidy more then ever before. i just do a little every night before bed.
I'm so lucky to have a nanny. She's responsible for doing the dishes (in the morning), keeping the kitchen counters and floor clean, and keeping Juliana's toys neat and wiped down with Lysol wipes once per week. She also folds laundry when I start it. She puts away Juliana's clothes and I put away mine and DH's. Since I WFH, it's pretty easy for me to throw a load of laundry in, often during my meetings. I also do the dinner dishes after dinner while DH plays with Juliana.
I also have a cleaning service that comes once per month for 4 hours. I've been thinking of increasing that to every other week because it certainly could be justified. I sometimes manage to keep up with the light tidying up in between professional cleanings and sometimes not. Tomorrow is actually the day that the cleaners are scheduled to come and things look pretty bad around here.
I try to find one thing to clean each day DURING my workday because there is almost always a meeting that I just need to listen to buy multi-tasking is ok. I might clean a bathroom, dust, or do laundry. Then only thing I don't do is vacuum because then I can't hear my meeting. Consequently, our carpet only gets vacuumed once per month when the cleaning people are here. I know it's disgusting, but we have mostly hardwoods so it's only the bedrooms where we should be vacuuming.
On weekends I try to tackle one task, such as cleaning out the refrigerator or vacuuming under the sofa. That's all I seem to be able to find time to do. I can't even imagine how you ladies who work full-time outside of the home find time to do everything. I have tremendous respect for you.
umm after Juliet goes to bed I clean up the kitchen and pick up her toys. Weekends laundry gets done and any other cleaning, like vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, etc. My house is no where near as clean as I'd like
