We used to be able to count on a pretty decent raise annually but there was a freeze on all salaries this year. With all of the cutbacks, I feel fortunate just to be hanging on to my job each year.

I've been fortunate to get a raise every year since I joined, but this last year was my smallest ever at 2%. I don't think there was any inflation last year so I was happy with that.

well we haven't gotten a cost of living increase in 3 or 4 years because the state put a freeze on it. I've just got an increase for moving to the next step in my position though, but that's not a yearly thing. Maybe every other year?

Our performance appraisals occur semi annually, but our merit increases factor in both appraisals once per year. I've been lucky also to get increases yearly, though they haven't been substantial (I think 1-2% has been the norm the last little while unless you're a superstar and basically working loads extra for free). We also depend heavily on our bonuses which I've been very fortunate to get as well (these are usually more substantial for me). I don't bank on getting it, and it has often surprised me to get them at all the last few years. Not holding my breath for this coming year on either the raise or the bonus, but keeping fingers crossed.

Let me see normally nothing. WE are currently in a hiring freeze. The last raise I did get was when I was promoted (June 2010). I will get another raise when I am promoted again next June.

I get a small pay raise every Jan. I am hoping this year its bigger (since I asked for a decent raise again). I am making my company good money, and I am the least paid person (BY A LOT) in my office. So I asked for a raise (after coming back from maternity leave where my office learned to really appreciate me!).

We get a 2% raise every year, and a 1% bonus twice a year.

At both of my jobs this year I got a small raise. It wasn't much but it was appreciated and told me I'm doing a good job
