You know, it's sad that I (and most moms I'm sure) have to feel guilty about "me" time but last night I had a meeting for work from 6-7 pm when DH watched Juliana. I came downstairs and saw they were having lots of fun so I told them I was going back upstairs and read for another 45 minutes! Why should I feel guilty about that? Sometimes I also feel guilty about working out because it means I have to put Juliana in the gym childcare when she's already been with the nanny most of the day. Of course, I'd also feel guilty if I didn't work out. I just can't win.
I always feel guilty when I go to the gym after work. Last night (and a couple other times I've been gone) Juliet told DH she had to poop and she went on the potty (well she was almost done by the time she got there). Also last night DH took a video of her because she got herself a bowl, went to the shelf, picked out the cereal she wanted, poured herself some, put the box back, and started eating. Umm she is too young for that!
