First - Hello, i havent been here in a while. hope all is well.

So, i found the job that i wanted only to go down in hours. My dh now travels so much for work that its like a i am a single mom who happens to be married even more then i was before. well, my kids school schedule took a turn last year and we started the balanced school year. This means they get two weeks off in the fall, winter and spring and only two months off during the summer. because of this i went down even more in hours and even took the summer off. The understanding was that when the boys went back to school in august, i would go back to work part time from 9-2. I have checked in all summer just like i was supposed to and on this last check in the diector is saying that they will have to check in a month or two on how enrollment is (im a preschool teacher).

here is the thing, i ran into a few of my co teachers the other day and they were saying how they needed more teachers and how my hours would work perfectly with one them.

when i called today for the check in and they told me about the whole enrollment thing, i asked about working with one of the teachers i ran into. the director told me a line about how the hours dont fit.

i feel like im getting a run around and i HATE this feeling.

im now on the hunt for another job BUT its so hard to some across somethign for the hours i need. i am also looking into some work at home jobs too.

i just feel like if they are going to agree to let me have the summer off then come back, then they should honor that. ugh. it makes me want to scream!

anyone have anything similar happen? how did you resolve the issue?

I have not experienced anything like this before, but the feel I am getting from reading your post is that they are pushing you out.
