My title is Floating/Sub Preschool Teacher

I work in class rooms ranging from 6 weeks to Kindergarten. I work with children to enhance their learning through play. I make daily to weekly agendas and assessments and see to the over all care of the kids in the class I am working in.

I do much much more and go above and beyond. Its just the nature of the position (or should be) .

that is when im working and/or IF i get called back. ugh.

My title is Paraprofessional.
They throw a lot more work on us than most other schools and call it 'other duties.'
We don't get anymore money with the extra work they give us, just more stress.

I was hired to work with kindergarten in a classroom.
However, there is just too much standardized testing and I'm often pulled to proctor or administer the tests, which can take three weeks. Very mundane and mind-numbing. And this year they're tacking on math tutoring (so we'll be out of the classroom even more) and home visits.
I took on extra hours as a program director and that was fun. Not sure if I'll do it again this year, but that pretty much allowed me to plan whatever I wanted.

I am a medical biller for a pain management doctors office.

Yes it is what I was hired to do

recently I was given the task to do in office UA dips. We have a collection tech that works for the lab to do our urinalysis drug screens, but since he is not employed by us someone from the office has to do the dip in the office for us to bill for that part. I was chosen since I work in the back office near where the collection tech is and my job can be more easily interrupted than the ladies in the front office who are face to face with patients througout the day

What is your job title and description?

Teacher, I teach 9-11 year olds.

Is it what you where hired to do or promoted to do?

Hired to do.

Do you do extra work that is not in your job description?

All teachers do but it is always covered by a clause in the JD that says "other reasonable tasks as directed by the headteacher."

I am a drafter. I design, draw and model parts for offshore rigs.

It is what I was hired to do. Before, I was doing the same thing but with large antennas.

For the most part my job is pretty straight forward but who doesn't do work outside of their job description?

So true, I think in most lines of work these days companies are feeling the pinch and wanting to get every last ounce of work out of every employee, value for money.

Official job title is 'seinor bridal designer' - I'm a florist and I specialise in bridal floristry.

Yes, it's a pretty straight forward job title.

I do other work, the shop also needs to be stocked and maintained and we are not a strictly bridal florist, we also do general bouquets and funerals. We all have to pull our weight.

I'm a - wait for it, drum roll - Internet Entrepreneur. When people ask what I do, I say internet marketing, though. Way less pretentious. LOL

Job description? I do surveys, operate websites, run newsletters, design and develop web presences, program, blog, write as a freelancer, and a million and three other things.

I don't really do extra work - all that is enough. BUT I do raise 2 lovely daughters (and one hubby lol)
